T-k2tog

The t-k2tog or twisted k2tog produces a right-leaning decrease, with the right leg of the top stitch crossed over the left leg – as they would be in a k tbl (knit through the back loop) or “twisted” knit stitch.

This stitch is used in my fingerless mitts patterns, Goldmead, Sgaradh, Lus Na Tùise and Coppersmith.

1. Slip the first stitch purlwise.
The right-hand needle has been inserted between the legs of the first stitch on the left-hand needle, from the back of the knitting
2. Insert the right hand needle into the stitch as if to purl through the back loop and slip from the left hand needle.
Two stitches are being slipped from the right-hand needle to the left hand needle.
3. Slip both stitches back to the left hand needle

4. Knit the two stitches together as normal.
