This is it! The summer holidays are nearly over and the Socks in Love collection is complete, and what better way to finish it off than with an all over pattern called Beloved? Gaolach is a super easy pattern, with a really easy to memorise pattern which makes it a fantastic travel project – something I always look for in a sock pattern!
From a patterned column (Mànran) to stripes (Dìleas and Gràdh) to V’s (Togair) and finally an all-over pattern, I’ve absolutely loved knitting all of these pattern and I really hope you will too. So many of my testers came back to do two, three and more of these socks which was such a joy for me and I hope you’ll feel the same way!
The yarn for this one isn’t the yarn that I originally chose, but I think swapping was absolutely the right choice. This yarn is Cosmic Strings Sock Blend in Lightly. Hasn’t it knit up beautifully?! Phu and Bea are based in Edinburgh so it’s about as local as I can get for yarn buying.
Look at the gorgeous speckles on the heel? I love how the tiny purple and pink flecks appear quickly and then disappear again! And when the fleck lines up perfectly with the passed over stitch then it makes my heart sing!
If you’ve already bought the Socks in Love eBook, Gaolach is on it’s way to you now! Or you can buy the patterns individually and any pattern purchases made will be discounted from the collection price so you’ll never pay more than the maximum price for the ebook.
If you want to find out what I’m up to between blog posts you can keep an eye on what I’m up to on Instagram!
