Wild and Untamed

This release is really exciting for me because, as well as being my first pattern of 2025, it’s also my 100th pattern! For my 100th pattern I wanted to make something that was very me and really shows who I am as a designer. I think Rammage is the perfect pattern for that!

Rammage is a quick knit with plenty of stocking stitch and and easy relaxing knitting, but also has a dramatic pattern that is truly eye-catching and much easier to knit that you might think!

The name is a Scots word meaning wild and untamed, and the ribbed pattern reminds me of owls (and has similarities to Cailleach-Oidhche) or stags heads (like the staghorn cable on Fearthainn) or waves (like Keechan), and sometimes it looks like interlocking hearts. All sorts of wild, untamed things you can find!

Like my other stocking stitch mitts, Rammage has six sizes and should fit everyone from teenagers to adults. My sample is knit in the small size, but you can check my testers projects below to see them in all six sizes and a gorgeous range of colours!

You can get 25% off Rammage with the code WildSale until 11.59 pm (GMT) on the 1st of April 2025. The pattern is also on LoveCrafts and Etsy!

If you want to find out what I’m up to between blog posts you can keep an eye on what I’m up to on Instagram, or come join me on Patreon for 50% off new releases and to find out what I’m working on for the next few of months!

If you’d like an exclusive 40% discount on future releases sign up for my newsletter – I only send out emails when I release a new pattern or am having a sale, so usually, you’ll only hear from me once a month.

When I knit my Tar-Sgàil Socks and Mitts last year, I knew it was going to be the perfect pattern to turn into a hat and cowl set later – and I was right! This gorgeous textured rib pattern is really lush in DK yarn and has enough definition to stand up to moderately patterned

The Curlew’s Call

When I knit Whitterick, I knew almost immediately that I wanted to turn the whole thing into a shawl as well. The texture and the drape are so beautiful that I wanted something I could really wrap myself in! I of course, made it with Lottie Knits Aglow DK. It may be my favourite DK

Burnished Copper

For my latest pair of fingerless mitts I really wanted to play with twisted rib again. I also really wanted to make another pair similar to Dealas with a textured pattern across the back of the hand. So I combined the two ideas and we got Coppersmith! It’s a really fun pattern and once you’re

It has been so long since my last shawl pattern! The last was Breigichean on  17th August 2023 so just a few days short of a year. I hope you’re looking forward to this as much as I have! I fell in love with this gorgeous little arrow lace a long time ago but I’ve
